| Welcome to the home of the Pittsburgh Maharashtra Mandal on the World Wide Web. Maharashtra Mandal, Pittsburgh is a non-profit organization representing the Maharashtrian and Marathi community in and around the greater Pittsburgh area.
Our mission is to plan cultutal events for the 'Marathi' community to get together, help make new friends, preserve our culture and teach our traditions to the younger generation. Maharashtra Mandal needs your participation to make these programs successful.
In addition to the organization of the cultutal programs for the community, Maharashtra Mandal is actively involved in charitable causes including supporting the activities of Ekal Vidyalaya, Hindu Jain Temple, Pittsburgh and other charitable orgnizations.
The Mandal's 2008 annual program kicked off on (January
26th) with the Makar Sankrant function. This was
followed by Rang Sangeet-2008 with two Marathi Ekankikas
and a Live Marathi theme musical melodious show on (March 22nd), Marathi Movie 'Kadachit' (on May 17th), Picnic (on June 14th). Our next event is
Ganesh Puja on (September 7th). The last and the biggest
event of 2008 is Diwali celebrations on (November 1st). There is plenty of entertainment planned for this year. Visit our events
